The best musical groups originate naturally, by chance. The Loonz formed the old- fashioned way, meeting at open mics and gigs. Based in the Central and Mad River Valley’s of Vermont, these four guys have all played together in their individual side bands and solo acts, sharing the stage at various events, state wide and beyond. Offering classic and modern covers, with a growing list of life inspired originals ranging from funk to rock, with a touch of country and jam band, the group came together immediately. “It was like magic” says Rhys Chalmers, the lead singer and guitarist / tenor saxophone, with Kent Algire on bass , Rob Merrill on drums / percussion and Tony Bartold on keyboards, these guys come together to provide a wonderfully unique and enjoyable live music experience
