William Thompson Funk Experiment is a Massachusetts based psychedelic-alternative-futurefunk band. Featuring William Thompson playing various roles including: Mad scientist, Cactus Jack, the unsuspecting Johnny, Dr Doctor, and some sort of businessman. His foundation is built on the solid grooves of the experiment: Who is William Thompson?

Forming originally in the summer of 2009 in central Massachusetts, Worcester to be exact, William Thompson Funk Experiment has become quite the spectacle. A uniquely interactive show experience featuring a group of musical talents that put high stock in making sure you leave feeling uplifted and truly entertained. The band delivers tight hard-hitting original tunes that have a way of pulling fans right into their fantasy laced world of fun and bewilderment. A rotating cast of musicians leaves endless possibilities on the table making each performance unique in its own right. WTFeX invites you to leave your worries at the doorstep and come and get down.

WTFeX has played numerous venues in the Northeast including: The Palladium (downstairs),Middle East Nightclub, Electric Haze, The Spot Underground, Alchemy, Penuches, Tammany Hall, Harpers Ferry, Fontanas, The Hall at MP, Pearl St. Nightclub, Wonderbar, Hard Rock Boston, Funk N’ Waffles, Black Eyed Sallys, Church Boston and Arch Street Tavern with acts that include: The Nth Power, Aqueous, Strange Machines, Twiddle, The Breakfast, The McLovins, DJ Logic, Soule Monde, Roots of Creation, Danny Bedrosian and Secret Army(members of Parliament Funkadelic), Fikus, West End Blend, Funky Dawgz Brass Band and The Heavy Pets. The band has also played numerous festivals in the area which include: Disc Jam music Festival, Strangecreek Music Festival, Wormtown Music Festival, Rock N Roll Resort, Disc Jam Horror Camp, Camp Coldbrook, Ziontific, Spectral Fest and the Open Road Festival alongside acts such as: Karl Densons Tiny Universe, Dumpstafunk, Turkuaz, Kung fu, Consider the Source, O’teil Burbridge, Dopapod, Electron, Pink Talking Fish,Rusted Root, Max Creek, Rubblebucket, Break Science, Zach Deputy and Lespecial.

Sit ins include: Dj Logic, The Hornitz, Force from Alchemystics, Wiley Griffin, Mike MacDonald of Strange Machines and Oteil Burbridge of the Allman Brothers Band and Dead and Co.
